The Way We Roll

Going from a full day (and then some) of paid employment each day, to staying at home full-time with Lauren and Katherine was quite a major shift, as you can imagine. One of the surprising things to me (even though I knew on some level this would be the case) is that the day just goes by so quickly with very little "productivity," per se. I don't really have anything to show for all my work. I do hope that my "work" pays off later with two productive members of society who love God and who love others. For the time being here's what my full "schedule" looks like...

Clearly this leaves time for little else.....

  1. Sheena, I agree. Full time work to full time Mommy is a very major shift. It took me a full year to feel ok with my day. I still have times where I rattle off all that I have done to my husband so I can validate my time and how I spent it!
It is full and wonderful job being home, very rewarding, even though it still has times when it is overwhelming for me. But I did not get these days with my Sydney therefore I am so glad to share them with Jack.
I am also glad that your girls get the blessing of you each day. They are so adorable. xoxo

  3. All those pictures make me miss y'all! I cannot wait to see you guys at Christmas. And yes, tell me about it...days can be quite busy when you have "nothing" to do but raise your children! :) Looks like you are doing just fine in your new job!

  5. I have a budget you can work on if you are missing "work", but it looks like you are doing just fine. You are really lucky to share this adventure with your family.

  6. The girls are so cute. I showed this post off to my roommates. Also, Katherine looks ADORABLE in the scarf I made her, if I say so myself. Love you guys!
